When Mary Met Jake

Just when i thought i only had the Rice stitch to finish off,and feeling rather proud of myself,i then realized i had made a major boo boo :( .Apparently i cannot count properly, so that meant that when i finished the Rice stitches,i was right on top of the border part,so out came the border. :( .Then there were a couple of other small bits but i can get round that.

This afternoon i made up this birthday card.Tilly The Snail (as i call her) was made up months ago.She was just perfect for my Aunt who loves her flowers,if not the snails.I'm sure she'll not mind this one though :) .

This is Jake our 12yr old Rottie.

Over the weekend he wasn't that clever. On Monday he went to the vets.Turns out his kidneys are not to clever. But the good news is that hes perked up a lot since they have put him on a drip, and feeding him small amounts of chicken, his favourite. The vet said it was his weekly chicken that kept him going :) .Tomorrow he will be home and on a special diet. The funny part was that the vet said he won't be running round the house anymore and will be sleeping and laying around the house a lot.No change there then. :) .The house is so quite without him.No howling like the Hound And The Baskerville's in the morning to his wife and daughters, who live in the yard at the side of our house.Jake wormed his way in when the cold made his back legs bad a couple of years ago, then made a remarkable recovery and  living up to his kennel name of Jake The Fake :) .

Jake Not Very Happy After A Bath :)

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear about the miscount in Mary and you had to frog the border. :( Hope that didn't take too long.

Love the birthday card you made, it's so cute.

I hope Jake feels better and his grumpy 'after bath' picture cracked me up!!

Enjoy IHSW this weekend. I can't wait to see your pics next week. :D

Hi Julie,

I am a new follower - I found you through Joysze's blog.

I love your WIP and your snail birthday card is lovely.

Poor Jake looks miserable after his bath. Aren't pets wonderful? - we have two cats. You can see lots of pics of them on my blog.

I look forward to following your blog, enjoy IHSW.

Hugs, Kaye

I am sad about Jake the dog. I am sad about the border. Don't give up. One stitch at a time. One day you can dance for joy, when you have a FO.
