My Guardian Of The Orts

Afternoon all,I have not been sewing or stalking  admiring your lovely works for the past week has i have just not had it in me to do much. The reason being that we lost our beloved Jake last weekend. Its so strange and quiet without him,and i keep expecting to still see him laying in his usual places. He would have been 13 in August,so he had a good life and was well loved and old age got the better of him in the end.

DH is in hospital at last after several false starts, and having his Gastric Band removed as i write, and all being well will be home tonight.

The only bit of sewing  i have to show is this

From 'My Little heart' sal i think it was called.I put small beads in the center instead of the french knots, and it adds a nice bit of bling that does not show up much in the photo.

I have made a start on the 'Forever Friends',but not much to show has of yet.

Thanks for looking.

That is a lovely photo of Jake. I am sorry that he is no longer with you.I've no doubt you have many happy memories of him though.
Hope your DH is all right and back home safely.
A very pretty piece of stitching. I like the My Little Heart motifs.

I'm sorry to hear about Jake, but you're right - he had a wonderful life and was well loved and that's most important. Wishing your DH well and a swift homecoming. And, of course, lovely stitching. I'm a supporter of beads in place of french knots.

Lovely stitching Julie, and I hope your DH is doing well after his surgery. Your little piece is cute. I see the bling pretty well, actually. The beads glitter in the photo!! I'm so sorry to hear about Jake. I'll be a basket case when I lose my Yes Dear. Have said a prayer for you.
